A few months ago, Lynn Kennedy asked me to write
a review for her website after Anthony's
concert here in Lubbock, TX. I was honored that she
asked me but felt that I should decline because
I know there are others out
there who are more qualified than me to write reviews
of Anthony's concerts.
But, I feel as if I should take some time to express to all of you what a truly magnificent performance this young and gracious talent by the name of Anthony Kearns delivered to our town last evening.
The list of songs he performed consisted of some of his usual ones and
some new ones which were all breathtaking, sending
chills from head to toe at times, bringing tears
to my eyes as well as others and plenty
of joy to our hearts...bringing the
audience to their feet many times, and leaving
us wanting more.
It was truly a night that I, my family, friends, and his fans will not soon forget.
I cannot, unfortunately, tell you each song that he and Patrick Healy, another true and genuine, gentle man, performed but I can tell you that they are songs I pray we will be fortunate enough and privileged enough to hear him sing many, many more times in years to come.
If anyone reading this
can ever in their lifetime find a way to see clear a
chance to attend one of
Anthony Kearns' concerts do so for I can
promise you, you will forever remember
this magnificently, hauntingly beautiful,
and purest voice ever. He is
truly a "Tenor of Our Time" and we are most thankful
that he was able to come
to Lubbock, Texas and we are proud to have
him as an "Honorary Citizen"
of our town.
